by | Oct 26, 2020

As part of the Breaking Money Silence® on Diversity and Inclusion series, I interview Akeiva Thomas, CFP®, Wealth Planning Associate with Ballentine Partners and YouTube star. Each week, she publishes fun videos to educate her millennial fans about money and makes these lessons accessible to a diverse audience. Her ultimate goal? Close the black wealth gap and make sure financial literacy is an inclusive endeavor. With almost 8,000 subscribers, she is clearly well on her way to accomplishing her goal.

Akeiva is a financial planner and educator. She is a Wealth Planning Associate at Ballentine Partners LLC, a wealth management firm based in the greater Boston area serving high net worth individuals and families. At Ballentine, Akeiva also serves as co-leader of the firm’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Taskforce. She is also the founder of The Bemused, a financial literacy brand catering to young adults.

Akeiva is one of the youngest Certified Public Accountants and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals in the nation and has a passion for helping young adults like herself build wealth. For more information, go to www.linkedin.com/in/akeivamthomas.
